odd problem
2002 GS430.
car will drive fine until all of the sudden it will lose power. power as in I'll press the pedal with little to no response. it will idle down(even while moving) then die or if I drop it into neutral it'll die right away. sometimes it'll start right back up but the last 2 times(about once a week or every 300 miles) it'll die but won't start until I let it sit for a few minutes. then it cranks right back up and drives fine. I should note when it does die and won't start back up that when this happens it'll turn over and crank but when the rpms come back down to idle after initial starting it goes straight down to die. instant on/off. crank-vroom-off.
I replaced the fuel pump and filter and checked all my vac hoses best I could. visually and with break cleaner to see if I could get an idle change while running.

Oil control valve?
No cel until last night on the way home. It didn't appear to effect the car until this afternoon. Now it won't start. Still cracks but dies instantly. Towing it to the shop and going to check this cel. Anyone think it could be O2 sensor?

also no codes and "currently" the car runs fine.

so I put the stock aorbit on and finally got a code. P0172 &P0175. from what I've read it seems that it's the O2 sensors. which do I need? rockauto has them for the front and back. I'll post a link in the am if necessary.
ok, so the DIY is for a GS300. I assume that the other O2 is under the drivers side carpet. is this correct?
