Default Question for those who have 20 inch rims on their GS.

Did u have to buy anything extra such as wheel spacers and longer wheel studs? Was going to buy a set of rims today but it looked like something was rubbing against the inner edge of the tire in the wheel well. The guy suggested that I buy some spacers, and longer wheel studs to make it all work. Did u guys have to do any of this for your rims?

I did't have to buy any extras when I got my 20" wheels put on, although I'm sure it depends on the specs of the wheels/tyres as to whether you will need anything else to accommodate it.

^^^^ same here but i did shave the rears to be safe.

Get 19s you'll have more options and will look better if you plan on lowering. I have 20s but if i did it again on a gs i'd go 19 with a fat lip

I agree with that, I have sterns 20x8.5 35offset all around, n I had 3mm spacers, hitting my caliper but not more after he spacer. Only rubs alil when reversing and turning, but doesnt when i make a full u-turn ir anything, haven't drop it yet kuz I'd have shave the rear n other.. I'm thinking of getting 19's

Same specs as my 20's. Had to roll my guards when I got lowered. I'll be getting 19's soon anyway.
I think 20's are just to big and not versatile enough for what you get.

I second this. I have a GS430 with 2 20x10 (rear) and 2 20x8.5 (front) on them and didn't have to make any adjustments to fit them on.

20's are fine with the right specs, educate yourself on offset and what fits the GS with what tire sizes and you'll save yourself some potential headaches.

I have 20x9.5 all the way around with 15mm spacers in the rear and I have no issues with rubbing. Lowered all the way down on Tanabe coils.

I haven't had any spacers on my car to accommodate my 20's and I drive it very spiritedly with no issues. I do have 235's up front now with my setup because I eat through my tires a little quicker with the camber setup. I also have front and rear RCA's.

I am slightly lower now.

I have 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 out back and didn't need any spacers or anything like that. you just have to make sure you get the correct offsets and you shouldn't have any problems at all

19s r a bit more versatile offset and and thickness of center hub area will determine if u need spacers or longer tjreads.. on longer threads I believe they make some good ones setup for is300 but also fit our car...I bought some at summit racing before
