LOUD CLICKING NOISE when hopping in car...?

So my mechanic told me it couldn't be the brakes because it happens when I hop in and if it was the brakes it would happen while braking which made sense to me so I went ahead and replaced the ball joints because he said it had to be that. Turns out it WASN'T! Still makes that damn clicking noise which makes me really think its something with the calipers or pads moving when I hop in because I noticed the car moves and could put pressure on the calipers when I sit. But my ball joints were shot after only 30k so I guess anyone who experiences a ****ty ride and feeling more bumps then usual change your ball joints even if you changed them already. It seems they need to be changed like every 30k if not sooner depending on the roads. Very bad for a Lexus to have such a weak spot!

i had the same click/pop noise when i get in my car after my car been sitting. I also get a small click noise going over bumps. I replaces my suspension with megan ez and the noise is no longer there. i have a 01 gs430 with 160k miles.

So guys I replaced the lower ball joints to no avail! They were bad though and they were just changed 30k ago so these do go bad very often. But I still get that ANNOYING CLICK EVERYTIME I FIRST HOP IN THE CAR. I DONT EVEN HAVE TO HOP IN. today I just pushed the car down while it was cold and it made the huge click sound sounding exactly like it comes from behind the wheel under the car. Any ideas anyone? I looked at my upper control arm while I pushed the car down and I did see they do move a little as the car bounces up and down. Is that normal?

How can I check them because Im almost 90% sure I changed those already a while bAck. Could they possibly go bad from removing them multiple times to work on the suspension? I know I changed the links and bushings before

The clicking noise ended up being the brake sheild touching something so check the brake plate that protects the rotor from dust if anyone has the same problem.
