Default New to CL, need HELP!!!

Been lurking the forum for a long time and have now finally registered. What a great forum, and I have gained a wealth of knowledge to boot. The forum has guided me through repairs from changing side marker lights to spark plug replacement. Without your help my wallet would certainly be much lighter.

My next project is to replace the front driver and passenger side lower door moldings (rocker molding). Here's the link to the repair if you're unfamiliar.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...r+door+molding

I have searched this forum and the web for part numbers and prices and could not find anything. I finally got a break at work today and called a Lexus dealership to describe the part I need for the repair. The guy I spoke with gave me each part#, finally I see light at the end of the tunnel. Great, how much do they cost? $400.00 each!!!!!. I told the guy I didn't need the whole door just the rubber strip along the (outside) bottom of the doors.

Here are the part#s he gave me:

7584030020E1
7583030020E1

Someone please tell me these are not the correct parts I need. In the link above CL members were paying $30 per molding. I understand prices have gone up over the years, but $400.00 each?

Any info you guys can provide would be more than appreciated. Thanks! And sorry for such a long post.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is SEWELL LEXUS. look in there online parts department and cross reference those numbers. Also, SEWELL awards discounts to CL members. hope this helps.

P.S. welcome to CL, it's a good place to find, and share information. and aside from the occasional Dbag, it's a good place to make a few pals too.
Good luck.

I think those part #'s are for the stock side skirts.

Check this out, I think your looking for 75735A (RH) ect.... On sewell's website it says to call for price.
I would check with them.

I appreciate all the help guys. I posted the below on the actual sticky:

Got the part numbers from Sewell Friday afternoon, and they are color specific. I have a 1999 GS300, factory paint is Burnished Gold Metallic (color code 4P2). Prices below are from Lexus of South Atlanta, Sewell quoted $50 each for the front.

Front door part numbers:
7573530172E1 passenger $31.55
7573630172E1 driver $31.55

Rear door part numbers:
7574530132E1 passenger $17.00
7574630132E1 driver $17.00

Hope the info help.
