Default does tinting windows help protect the interior?

JW i know its probably a stupid question, but i have the black interior on my GS and with the weather how it is up here the inside of my car is scorching everytime, and i dont want the leather to get damged, jw if tinting windows would help or make it worse, some people dont like tinting but i think it would look good on a GS imo. thanks

it certainly does.

purpose of tint is to prevent light/heat from entering. this helps with weathering from sun

Blocks UV rays but heat is heat if it's hot outside. I wouldn't let up on my interior detailing to keep the leather and dash looking great.

yeah, pretty self explanatory answer.......any good tint blocks UV rays, which in turn protects and cools the interior.....thus less sun damage.

Yes, ceramic does come in black now. If u go 35 percent it doesn't really look black. But if u go darker, like 25-20 percent it looks a lot more black and a lot nicer imo. But I stuck with 35 because of the stae law here.

OP. Yes it does help to tint. Ceramic is a lot more costly but protects more. Go ceramic o. The windshield too. Makes a big difference.

What's a good percent for the windshield ? Where it's not too dark but protects the dash from heat.

I have 50% on my van and its perfect. I have 70% on my Q45 and it's kinda light but it does help from this Vegas heat

Yea I recall getting my windows tinted in Waipahu 35% ceramic costed nearly $400. Loved the protection but the color clashed...

Even with limo tint all around (except the windshield), my car will still get hot inside during those summer days if I forget to put up the sunshade. I have a windshield sunshade that I bought from an auto parts store but looking to get a much better one that truly blocks the sun's rays from entering the the car. Tinting my windshield is not an option for me so getting a better sunshade is my best an only option. I think having tint has help protect my leather and dash but interior detailing and leather protection is still a must.
