I went to the mechanic a couple weeks ago to have my valve cover gaskets replaced and that same day my pedal had a slight vibration to it. He said to ride on a for a while longer to see if it persists and today when I turned on my car it would rev up to 3K rpm by itself. I got it towed to his shop for him to look at it but I'm pretty sure it's the throttle body. Is this his fault? Should he warranty it or is it just a crazy coinsedence? Also, if he doesn't warranty it i plan on doing it myself. Where can I get all the parts to change out the throttle body? Are there any diys? Thanks in advance.
Throttle bodys are known failure points in the vvti engine so it's no shocker to me if indeed it did go south on you also is it throwing a check engine light/

Yes. I have the check engine VSC and VSC off lights on.
