Default Spark plugs

Hi, I have 50,000KM on a set of plugs (GS400) My dealer suggests replacing, but wants $600. That seems like a lot to me. Also over the last 2-3 months my idle speed while stopped in drive is getting lower, now about 700rpm and with a slight vibration. Could that be due to sparkplugs? Appreciate your advice.

Plugs are not that hard to do yourself. The rear cylinders may give you the most trouble due to their location, but you can DIY. NGK or Denso plugs are < $10.00 each.

If you look in the DIY sticky in the 2nd gen forums, there is a link to a couple of how-to's with pictures on changing sparkplugs on a GS300. I would post the link, but i havent had 30posts, 30days yet so it wont let me.

Spark plugs are quite easy to replace. The driver side is easily accessible, but the passenger side requires the removal of the air intake. I personally didn't notice a difference in the way the car idled or drove after replacing mine though.
