The vehicle went to 2 different Smog station for inspect! The first one turn down the inspection due to not all monitor has not completed! Yes! Some one mention it can allow up to 1 or 2 monitor not been completed still able to run the test! Some place is real picky since it can affect the score rating and store for record which may visit the Referee on future inspection! BTW, the vehicle PASS the test at a different smog test station! The Cataylst Monitor which is the one can not COMPLETED! The vehicle has been driven for required Drive Cycle already, But Catalyst still not COMPLETE! Will update about the issue! For now at least I get the 2 yr peacefull time!

The VSV fittings is different and have different P/N between yrs and model of GS! The function will be the same purpose most of the time! P0446 is for Evap circuit malfunction! Check for VSV harness for power source and ground, loose or corroded connector. Manually jump VSV and check for clicking when energize! These things get hung up with high milege!

Does this affect the A/C? My A/C doesnt blow hot air in higher fan speeds and when i hooked it up to the computer, the 446 code was the only one that showed up.

Has anyone done this to clear code P0440? I will be working on this, this weekend.
Code P0440 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
The gas cap is not installed or working properly
The purge solenoid has failed
The canister is plugged and not working properly

Canister Purge Valve
I know this is a relatively old thread but I was wondering if there are any pictures with the new valve in place. The one at the beginning of this post seem to show after the old valve has been removed but before the new one was installed. While the pictures are very informative, an "after" picture would be great. Perhaps there is one in another thread. I appreciate any help.

I finally got around to replacing my canister purge valve. It took me around three hours, I removed the rubber exhaust grommet, the suspension brace, and of course I dropped the itty bitty screw and it took me a little while to find it. I've cleaned the old part a few times to only get the CEL light after 200 or so miles of driving, this time I broke down and replaced the part, $48 bones from RockAuto. The part finally got replaced and now I'm a happy man. BTW, my code was P0440 (causes: gas cap, purge valve, canister).
