in the process of replacing LBJ's and all front suspension components except for the springs and struts. LBJ failure yesterday. No significant damage though. Was able to stop the car before it separated from the knuckle. Joy.

On my day off a couple days ago i did my timing belt. TWICE.

The first time I did it I didnt use grey silicone on the water pump gasket. My reasoning was that the gasket provided had a soft rubber seal. But as soon as I had it all together and put coolant in it, it leaked. So I had to tear it all down and do it all over again. But second go round started at 6pm and my test drive started at 11:23. So a little over 5 hours. But I did have the benefit of knowing exactly which bolts to attack and in what order. I also had a bolt organizer made from a shoe box which helped me know what order all the bolts went on and off.

Yes. I thought it was a good idea until after I did it. I have to manually coil the hose around it which sucks. Can't just crank it to reel the hose in.

Ordered a brand new actuator for one of the rear doors, was on 'sale' off of ebay, 89$ shipped. Need the other rear door actuator and I can get to work. (not on sale, still 98$) When the new ones break, I'll just replace the motors on the ones that are in there now and stick them in. I didn't want to risk taking apart the one there now, while everything is in pieces and not getting it to work.

Saw the OEM units on eBay myself yesterday. Was about to bite the bullet, but decided to go with Standard actuator from RockAuto. We all know that the OEM motors will soon crap out, so I went with the cheaper option that carries a 3 yr/36k miles warranty. Even used their 5% coupon code to make the deal sweeter. My rear LH door has finally crapped out.
