Default Almost finished my front end repair and ran into this

I was replacing my ball joints and tie rod ends and i ran into two issues on my 03 lexus GS300 .My first issue is that i was knocking back the tab on my inner tie rod end and its not come i dont want to mess anything I was wonder what is the best way to get this thing off becuase i have used a flathead and hammer with no luck. Its also hard to hold the boot back becuase it doesnt want to slide off.

I had a pic but it wouldnt load for some reason. Thanks for yor help
