Are 1999 Gs300 suppose to be gas chuggers?
My 1999 just hit 118K bought it with 117k exactly not a mile over lucky me I guess anyways I have notice it's a gas chugger. After putting in 200 miles on it I change spark plugs used oem from dealer not so much difference notice are 1999's good gas chuggers? What can I do for better gas mileage ?

curious...
I dont think 28mpg is possible in this car... i do about 85-90 highway driving and get between 22.5-23.5 miles to the gallon... i have never heard of anybody in a 2gs getting more than 25... especially since the car is rated 18 city 25 highway...

Power mode is controlled by the switch to the left of the heated seat switches. Center is off, forward is power, back is VSC i think.

You use regular gas at times, automatically worse fuel economy, and you gun it. The inline 3.0 has to work slightly harder than the 4.0 or 4.3 V8's, so you will figure slightly more fuel economy drop there for the same heavy vehicle. Throw in aggressive driving and maintenance history and your figures are about on point.

i had 2000 ls400 and was getting 25-30mpg using cruise control (but driving 60-65mph not 90)
with my gs430 i can get 24-28mpg driving cruise control on the other hand driving last few days just to gym and back (about 1 mile each way) with temperature 30 or less i was geting only 8mpg so i belive that gs300 can get 28mpg highway
using regular you gona get less mpg
