I wouldn't really see the point of it unless you are modding for boost

Agree with this as well. BUT, E85 is actually a little bit cheaper in my area so I would like to know thoughts on anyone else that switched to E85 !

If you're planning on doing it because its cheaper it's also not worth it. You need to upgrade your fuel system and e85 burns quicker so you'll be going through it faster than normal fuel

I run mine on E85. Solely for the purpose of being able to run a lot of boost and power. E85 has a very high octane rating and it's cheap(less expensive per gallon than regular gasoline). However, I would not recommend it for a normal daily driven car. There isn't really much more benefit, because factory engines are tuned and designed for a maximum of 91 octane. Also, you will take a hit on fuel mileage as well. If you get 20mpg on gasoline, on e85 you will get probably approx 15mpg.

yup, that's due to the low energy content of the methanol, you need nearly twice as much as a comparable hydrocarbon based fuel.... and that is why it is nearly solely seen in drag-racing.
although it dose have the advantage of running very cold, and i know there are a few meth powered drag-car's the forgo the use of inter-cooler's due to the way meth cool's the charged air.

really alcohol is bes left for drinking

E85 has a chemical octane rating around 108, however the cooling effect and slower burn provided by using the fuel increases actual octane rating to much higher ranges. I have seen some people run insane amounts of boost and timing on this stuff. Like straight up stupid amounts of timing. It would instantly melt a hole right through a piston if the engine were on gasoline.

I change up my setup all the time. This is probably my 3rd setup in the past year. Currently I'm running a 71mm turbo with around 32psi of boost with a pretty considerable amount of timing lol However, I'm going to switch back to a 67mm for my daily driver, 71 is a bit too laggy lol.
