Unhappy Please chime in and help with buying used wheels! need input!!!

So i found a set of volks GT-s that i realy like.
The guy wants 2400$ for the wheels with tires but NO CENTER CAPS, i think that is kind of steep. i offered him 2000$ but he didnt want to accept the offer. Can people just chime in on this and let me know what they think if its a good deal or not. the tires are worn down quiet a bit, he sent me pics of the tread.
Here is a link to the wheels....take a look and let me know. thanks guys!

Nice looking wheels but I agree the price is a tad steep. Volk center caps are $$$$ so that only makes the $2400 more ridiculous.

I think your offer was fair. If he doesn't want to sell it for that, move on.

Yeah, i told him if he changes his mind i have the 2k ready for them, then he said he is more than willing to let them sit in his kitchen until he finds somebody to buy them for 2400$, smh i just wish he would let them go for 2k because i REALLY REALLY like these wheels..... this seems to happen everytime i find a set of wheels i like.

This. If your budget is $2k just be patient because something great in that price range comes up every other day.

+1 nice wheels are everywhere at the 2k price point, be patient.

fyi - when you find them, ask for an inspection report by a tire shop to ensure they aren't bent or cracked. Should cost about $100 for the report, if you have to split the cost with the seller, but it's certainly better than the alternative.

Thanks for the help! I think im just going to have a set of leons hardiritt ordens made for my GS by CZ wheels, wont have to worry about anything really. Yeah it wont cost 2k but at least they will be exactly what i want, and with the specs i want.

That's a much better route than buying those Volks. Plus there are many nicer used wheels for cheaper than them. If only you had Upgarage at your disposal haha.
