I know most of the guys will run a 225/35/19 Fronts and for the Rears they will run 245/35/19.

Im going to run 225/35/19 fronts and 255/35/19 for rears because im going for more boooooost this spring. !!!!!

They will only come in 19x9.5 +15 or +22 and 19x11 +15 or +25. If they came out in 10.5 i would get those instead because i dont feel like pulling out my fenders to fit the 255....

Rota D2 is a similarly good knockoff of the Work Meister S1 and has been readily available for years. That is...in 18" fitments. This is a good solution for those wanting 19+

Then again...real Meisters would be an even better solution

Varrstoens BETTER than Works? Please tell me I'm misunderstanding you.

I am interested in this but then I'm not sure if the fronts will clear TT brakes. and I have a set of 20"s that I haven't sold and have a new set of Work on order =/ so I don't have an excuse to get these.

Did I stutter? Was there anything confusing about my sentence? Don't come at me for this. It is a battle you WILL lose.

I won't get in the debate between replica and original, frankly I don't care. All I said was, if they came out with a centercap, they'd be better than the originals. I've never been a fan of these wheels for the simple fact that there is no center. You have to look at the disgusting and typically rusted piece from the hub.

So like I said, hypothetically, if theres a centercap, then IMO its "better" than the original.

Wow, dude. Who pissed in your lemonade? Seriously...take a pill. It's really not worth it.

That said...I'm still curious as to your rationale on how a $10 center cap makes a Varrstoen 1-piece knockoff a better wheel than the original Meister S1 3-piece wheel. For what it's worth, you can get center caps for the Meister S1 3-piece.

So the discussion about how these cheap, cast knockoffs can possibly be better than the forged/spun 3-piece wheels they attempt to replicate is off limits? It's reasonably relevant to the OP.

FWIW - I'm not hating on knockoffs or cheap wheels. I've run 4 sets of Rotas on my Roadsters - including track use. So I'm not a knockoff hater. I am usually on the side of the argument defending knockoffs in the various "knockoffs are crap" threads on car forums. I've just never come across someone saying that the knockoff is superior to the original and I'm curious if there's more to that rationale than a $10 center cap.

Did I say you couldn't discuss the wheel? Please re-read my request which is specifically addressed at this type of comment (for example).

Exit this thread if you can't keep the discussion polite and mature. Keep the comments about the wheels or manufacturers and not on the people posting in the thread.

This is a very volatile topic that often ends up getting ugly and personal. It'll get locked, people will get infractions or suspended... just trying to keep this a courteous discourse about a heated topic open.
