i would use this DIY to take the panel off and i am sure then you can pop the internal lever with a screwdriver

actually if i recall, once you pull the handle and pop out the little plastic piece under it you may see the linkage where you can use a flathead to pop it? i could be wrong.

your wrong, we dont use a linakge. we use cables and if he cant get the door open he cannot remove the panel. if the child lock was on, he would be able to open it from the inside.

OP did u just install a door actuator? if something went wrong.....only way to get this open PROBABLY is gonna be to destroy that door panel. is it tan or black?

I was thinking the same thing. If it won't open on the outside OR the inside handle, you need to get inside the door to fiddle with the mechanics. Only way to do that is to remove the panel. Only way to remove the panel normally is with the door open. So....it's time to break out the cutting tools.

Either that or just make people enter through the door that opens and slide across.

I'm currently trying to install the chrome door handles on my car. All doors work fine except the right rear door, it wont open from the inside or outside. I still have the panel off luckily. What should I be looking at to solve this problem?

It seems like the lock is stuck or something.

the JDM door handle is not hitting the lever inside the door. The back of the handle is a little different. I had this same problem. I had to pull the door handle up fast and put some muscle into. If you do get the door to open. you will need to take off the handle and bend the lever inside up a little so it can engage when you lift the handle.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I did bend the lever. Which I believe should work because I bent it even more than the left side, which works. So I'm thinking that may not be the problem. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Why do these cars have such problems with the rear passenger doors?
