Not being a d$ck at all, but isnt it pretty easy? Other than a couple harness plugs on the alt itself, should be the only wire that is bolted on that has a rubber boot on it. Unless i"m not understanding the question

yeah yeah yeah saka, quit bustin my ***** kid!

he said "other than a couple wiring harnesses it "should" be the only other wire that is bolted on.. has a rubber boot on it". I thought he was trying to say that he *thinks* that might be it but he wasn't 100% sure. I thought that's why he said "it should be" instead of "it is". reasonable assumption on my part I think. I can obviously also see the pics he posted, and as he already knows i appreciate him having posting them up.

im not really sure how your precious little head smacking smiley helps any here regardless tho Ace. I wanted to make sure I had the right wire, Im STILL trying to make sure. I'm not a mechanic, so I ask when I need help. is that something that's really personally irritating to you? i did the google search. i did the forum wide and 2nd gen specific search first. i exhausted all other possible options before i made this thread JUST to avoid your type making your useless comments every single time somebody asks anything. I'm assuming you just couldn't pass up saying something but you also aren't sure if that's definitely the right wire, otherwise you probably would've used your post to confirm as such rather than make a wiseass useless remark right? I know the "I'm a know it all" game was your thing like a few years ago bro and it used to make for a few laughs back then but I thought we all grew out of that **** like back in 2005... guess you missed that memo lol.

oh im 100% certain which wire it is....i did a BIG 3 upgrade to my 320 amp alternator like 1.5-2 years ago....i did it, not some mechanic or someone else, me, because i am 100% certain.

you ask for info, someone gives it to you, and then you second guess it.....when i reconfirm it you attack me? you know a 100% foolproof method for information, buy the OEM repair manuals they cover 99.9% of every bit of information needed to fix 99.9% of everything or you could take this to a mechanic if you done feel safe. keep in mind this is a live positive wire and can have disastrous effects (fire) if hooked up/placed wrong

my bad, I'll reiterate.. .Its THEE only wire bolted on (as shown in the pic) and has a rubber boot to stop any possible short. Just find the one with a rubber boot over the top of it.

I didn't "second guess" anything killer. I already explained to you why I thought jokester wasn't sure - I read his post funny / it was worded a little funny, whatever.. not sure why you needed to respond with a tone so laden with head slapping superiority. im all set here now tho so you can get back to following me around the rest of the forum as you were. lol good luck with that repair manual purchase too btw. fyi all Im doing is hooking up an alternator tester. load tester I borrowed says you get a more accurate test reading attaching the 3rd lead directly to the positive output on the alt as opposed to the batt so Im just trying to follow directions. I knew coming in here to ask a simple question was gonna turn into some sort of bs and I actually had you in mind as the reason I almost didnt bother asking at all.

anyways i know I've been gone a while brother I'm sorry i had no idea how bad you missed me

Auto Zone has a device that they can accurately test both the batter and the alternator [for free] while everything is still on car.
