Default Need Some HELP.

Hi,

Well the other night i was cruising along between 30-70mph.I had done about 25miles when my battery discharge warning light came on my dashboard then afew minutes later the VSC, ABS, And VSC OFF lights came on aswell. After reading the forums and looking in my handbook i thought the Alternator had failed so i booked it in to have the Alternator replaced thinking this would cure the problem.
However after picking the car up today from the garage i took it for a run out just to make sure all was ok.Its still got the same lights on the dash but its also started the misfire badly and cutout aswell. The strange thing is that if i turn the car off and leave it for about 15-20minutes ,it starts and runs fine till the lights come on again then the problems start.

I've got a new Banner battery fitted about 2months back. And the car has been great up untill this point so i'm starting to wonder what would be causing this/these problems.

Thanks

Pete

I had a similar problem with the lights shortly after putting in a new die hard battery... I reset the ecu and never had the problem again. However mine didnt missfire or cutoff. I had that problem when i needed a new tps sensor which also triggered those lights plus the cel light. Someone will say scan it for the code before guessing. It'll atleast narrow down the possibilities.

Hi,

Well i sent my GS300 into the dealers to have a diagnostic check/scan to see if there was any codes showing after the problems i was having such as the battery ,vsc, vsc off and abs lights coming on the dash along with the car misfiring/cuting out.
They said that there was no codes in the memory.

So both myself and te dealers are stuck as to finding out whats causing my issues.

If my OCV was faulty whats codes should come up?

Many Thanks

Pete

I've got the Battery light on along with the abs, vsc and vsc off lights on the dash. But got no codes for the OCV just air intake temp codes due to having an aftermaket filter and low battery voltage codes but my battery is fine says the dealer.
I've being looking at other threads and i think my crank pulley has gone.
