Default Climate control/noise Issue

I have a '00 gs300 that the ac stopped working on the passenger side, it is literally putting out heat on that side. I have been reading through everyones posts on this issue and it sounds like a servo issue... today it developed a noise behind the dash on the passenger side that sounds kinda like a cassette tape that is being over-rewound and it lasts about 20 seconds every time the key is turned on and happenes again at other times..I know this is an issue that has also something to do with the servos. so my question is are these 2 related are they both to do with the servos.. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated I believe I can do the diy on the servos. but the problem with the passenger side thing I'm just not sure about, seems like it could be something more serious than the servos.

Thats the electronic booster. Every time you but the key in, the ecu checks and sets the pressure. It on pretty much all toyotas.

After it stops making the noise (after the ~20 seconds) press your break multiple times and you'll hear it do it again.

None of the other post about this issue said anything regarding this feature and I wonder why this is the first time that I've heard this. Does this mean that something is wrong with this, can it be fixed easily?

Its normal. How long have you had your car, when was the last time you changed your brakes. As the brakes get old and wear down, the fluid goes down so it has to keep checking pressure. When brakes are new, very little if any adjustment is needed.

Yeah i hear the noise your referring to and it is not very loud on the far left (driver) side of the car, that noise is quite faint. The noise i am referring to is right behind the right side of the radio/climate contols, or behind and left of the glove compartment. It is far from faint, quite loud and ntrusive. So back to the drawing board.

The vent door is opening and closing back and forth, or at the very least trying to.

You have to change the servo anyways, so start doing so. Once you have the dash all open you can look for the sounds.

The past couple days I've got a weird noise from the climate control/glove box area too...
Sounds like a really quiet coffee maker.... like a quiet soft boiling water o.o' ...
I check all my fluids and they were good. But I topped them all off anyway... idk what it is

I haven't noticed any gurgling type noises in my dash area, just the clicking noise I described. I guess my biggest issue I have is. I can't find anything that exactly links these two commonly known issues with these cars with one another. The clicking doesn't happen all the time, just sporadically kindof odd timing. The air on the passenger side is ALWAYS hot, never cool. So I guess my question for anyone is to confirm that these two issues are related and that replacing the servos will repair the passenger side issue I am having?

I'm 99% sure that both of these are due to your servos. That's exactly how they sound when bad (clicking). I don't see what the brake booster has to do with this, not if the noise is from the passenger side.

I appreciate that. I know there is a servo on the driver side, but I haven't found out for sure it's function. I assume it's used less, because hardly anyone brings it up. But I appreciate the confirmation, I really enjoy my car and I don't want to spend $280 (roughly) in parts and the time to replace them just to turn around and have to tear everything apart again. Might as well do everything the first time. Seriously contemplating a radio replacement while I've got it demolished...

I had to replace my driver side servo, it was bad. So you won't be the first to do so . Good news is that it's the easiest of the bunch to replace.
