car in limp mode need help

Default car in limp mode need help

it all started yesterday i went to pull out and it wouldnt go it was sluggish then the cel came on and vsc and vsc off lights and i limped it to the parts store checked the codes and i got p1120 which is accelerator position sensor circuit malfunction and p1121 which is accelerator position sensor range/performance and p1125 which is throttle control motor circuit malfunction i drove it home having to hold it to the floor just to go then i unhooked the battery to reset the ecu and it fixed it for now but i need to now which part is bad or how to find out which part is bad cause they are all pretty expensive and i dont wanna just start replacing parts blindly and still not fix the original problem ive read numerous threads on this all night and they were all something different but my car doesnt die like most peoples it idles fine starts fine just have no throttle response and btw my car is a 1999 gs300 thanks in advance for any help

I changed my throttle body. when mine went into the limp mode.I had all the sensers checked first then chosed to change the throttle body.

More than likely it's going to be your Throttle Control Motor. I'd hit that one first. When this happened to me Jeff Tsai was telling me that the TCM is the one that gets the brunt of the abuse and goes out the majority of the time. Replace that TCM first IMO and if it's not that it'll be your Accelerator Position Sensor which is on the backside where the throttle cable latches on. The TPS is hardly ever the culprit so I wouldn't even worry about changing that.

+1 on the throttle control motor...my buddy just replaced one on a 99 GS with the exact same symptoms and codes. I think its about a $300 part from Toyota/Lexus.

Any help would be greatly appreciated Im at a dead end I'm afraid to drive my car cause I live so far from town and I don't want to be stranded should I just replacethe whole throttle body or what should I change first
