Lexus GS400 Major Makeover
#49
I decided to go with Version select kit. Since I wanted the Wald exe kit and version select was the most similar. However knowing full well that I was going to cut it and chop it I couldnt see the reason to spend 3000+ for the wald so I went with the Version Select.
Thank you sir! Your build is coming along real well!
Thanks for the observation lol, however how many shops you know that will send you progress pics? Beggars cant be choosers. Those were pics from the shop sent via email. The JP is a hood wing, and it is fiberglass. The Hood is OEM. The body shop is 95% done with the work and the car was brought to me so that is why I decided to post this since I am like 80% complete over all, I need to finish ICE and Interior and some exterior accessories.
Color that I decided to go with is a blue based on mine with a ton of pearl.
Yea me neither!
Thanks Tom, I have not left just took a very long time to get everything done.
LOL, no need to take notes people should do their own thing.
Thank you!
Thanks!

i've known you were doing some major work although i wasn't sure exactly what but is the car DONE and your just now doing the write up on it or is it still being worked on?
also is the JP hood fiberglass like their kits or metal like OEM?

So as the car was getting closer to completion Daryl had asked me to arrange to get down to the shop so that I can see the work in person and approve it before he started prepping it for paint. So I bought a round trip plane ticket from NYC to Greenville, NC. Left at 6 AM from JFK had a 45 min break in DC and transferred to another plane. Arrived in NC and got picked up by Daryl and driven to the shop. It was one hell of a wake up call when I saw the car in person. Pictures can only do so much. When I saw the car my jaw hit the floor. The work was amazing and it was exactly how I wanted the overall look and presence of the car to be.

My astonishment didnt stop just there I walked around to the back and saw this:
I was happy with the way the car was progressing and that it near completion. I spent the next few hours with Daryl going over the rest of the work that needed to be done. After that I went back to the airport for my return flight. Left my house at 5 AM arrived back in NYC at 8PM, it was a tiring day but I was so happy that it didn't matter.
