shaking has nothing too do with the diff. Trust the guy who has replaced entire fron/rear suspension/biushngs/etc and tried 3 sets of rims and 5 sets of tires. 60-80 drives like a horse carriage. Under 60 drives like a Lexus.

No wonder I got the shakes, another removed the Navi in my current car with a screw driver, prying against the dash. Oh and I changed my spark plugs out of my 300 the other day, guess what? only 4 of them matched, unsurprisingly the middle ones (under the intake manifold/throttle body) had not been changed, they only swapped out the easy ones. This is 3 different Lexus dealers and no I'm not an idiot, I have only ever taken cars to them when it's them paying....
This is exactly why when I have someone change the spark plugs, I tell them to put the old plugs in the box that the new ones came from. I tell them that right in the beginning before they do any work. I don't trust anyone.

All dealers have good techs but actually getting that guy to work on your car is a flip of a coin! and getting a good service advisor is a less chance than fliping a coin! It sounds like its not the hunter balancer you need but a balancer that can measure road force/out of roundness and can match your tire to the rim. called forcematching but i think that may be a hunter term.

Speaking of bad service reps, back when i had my 98 ls400 and wanted to make a service at the dealer, the service rep tells me what year is your LS400 and i said 98 and he goes 'they didn't make the LS400 model in 98"
