For the folks asking, once again, they are redrilled so no adapters needed. One big reason that these wheels are as popular as they are is because the offsets are damn near perfect for a 2GS.
Car looks great! My only recommendation is to get rid of the caps. I went back and forth and finally went over to Tap Plastics and custom made some silver caps. Cost me about $40 and 4hrs of my time, ouch...
Also, did you roll or shave the rears? Mine go on in about 1-2wks and I got bigger tires than you (245/265)

BayAreaLex- Thanks so much for the explanation. BMW's rims are 5 x 112, huh? I was thinking they were 5 x 120 and wondering how they could be redrilled- wouldn't the holes be OBLONG- or am I missing something.
And that's wild- I had no idea they used such a high offset on the 7-Series wheels... The 50mm offset on the OEM 17 x 8's that came on the 2GS have just about the highest offset out there for ANY car- especially RWD, right?
Def post some pics of YOURS, in a couple weeks too man! I REALLY like the look of them...
I'm putting my AME "Shallen" 19's on this week, too...can't wait. First set of staggered wheels for the GS, since I got it.
You're running 245/35's up front? I have a set of (NEW) 255/35's... but my wheels are only 8.5 up front (10 in the rear)- would it be RETARED to run the the 255/35's, as opoosed to buying a set of either 225 or 235/35's for the front wheels? What do you guys think?
Right now, the rears have some 275/30's (semi-strectched) on the back.... so, when they wear out I was going to run the EXACT same size in the back- They're perfect.
255/35's up front with 275/30's in the back...? (only reason it MAY be okay- FOR NOW- is because with the 30mm RCA's in the front and rear- there's actually a little more wheelwell gap in the back anyway.
I don't know.. It just sucks to go and spend $400+ on the two more front tires, when I have the 255/35's sitting here in my garage right now. you know?

To answer your question, the CNC will drill the hole slighty larger in diameter (5.7mm larger in diameter to be exact while moving the hole axis in by 2.85mm). Then a steel insert is used to make sure that the bore is the same size as it originally was. No oblong anything here sir.
I agree with you that the 50mm offset is a bit extreme. At the same time the OEM wheel is quite a bit sunken in so there is room to push it out. And those BMW wheels are right at home with some minor fender work.
The 255-35-19 will work fine but is a bit much for a 8.5" wheel. I'd use a 235-35-19 if possible. Sell them and get the appropriate size. In this pic you can see how the furthest two 19x9s look with 245-35 and how the two closest 19x10s look with 265-35:
Also with a 255-35 and a 275-30 you are breaking one of my cardinal rules for tire selection. NEVER choose a front tire that is taller than your rears...

BayArea- Thanks for the help! Any, by the way- I couldn't agree more. I bought a pair of 225/35's for the front 8.5" wheels (I would've rather ran 235's, but because my buddy gave me succcchhh a deal on these- AND they're even the Run-Flats!, So, I just went ahead and got them two days ago- you know?)
They're being mounted tomorrow... and, right- I have 275/30's on the rear 10" wheels, but I think 265/30's will suit it better. Next year, I'll get those in the same RE050 tires, to match (although I don't think they make them in the RFT)
I agree on your "cardinal rule" though... that's def BOGUS. How about the guy I bought these (AME) 19's from had 245/40's on the front- and even worse- they came off a 2GS! ('04 GS430) WTF? (that's over a full INCH taller- so I immediately had them dismounted and sold them)
Thanks for the info about the redrilling process. That's so sweet! PUT SOME PICS UP AS SOON AS YOURS ARE ON, okay!?
