Ridiculious price for a grill. I paid $550 for a flimsey plastic grill for my LS430 back in the day. It made my Ls430 look like a S500 but the grill was worth no more than $75.

All it take is one A-hole in a truck to back into your car and your $700 is down the drain.

Everyone that keeps commenting on this thread about $700 being ridiculous price for a grill really need to think about what they're saying. Half the people on this forum waste their money on non-essential stuff that make their GS/LS/SC look no different than any other. Let's take quite a few things for example that everyone gets/wants when they first start.

Junction Produce Neck Pads (most people get 4) - I think they're like 20-25 per? So let's say $80 to be on the low end.

Junction Produce Curtains (most people get 2) - About $120 if i'm not mistaken, new.

Junction Produce Pillows - Ima just say $80 for 2.

So we're already up to $280, almost half of the price of the grille.

Then everyone needs a JP Tsuna/Fusa and they're a lot more expensive than what I got mine for 2 years ago... I'll still use the pricing I bought mine for just cause.. So $140 for a Tsuna/Fusa combo before price inflation..

Now we have $420 on non-essential accessories that in reality don't make or break or make the car look any better and i'm sure there are plenty other things out there that people buy or spend money on that doesn't really make the car look any newer or better than stock in the end.

Then don't even get me started on the serious enthusiasts.. You guys plow money into the car (including myself) like it's nothing, so i'm sure a little $700 ain't nothing to break off to give the front end a whole new and updated look.

Customizing your car the way you want!..... PRICELESS!! Everyone knows this hobby is expensive, but now a days it seems like people don't take pride in their cars.

Well put Daniel. As enthusiasts some of us spend over five time in modifications more than the car is worth. Why do Christian Louboutin shoes start at $600 a pair? or why is a Chanel bag $5k? When it comes to items like JP grille or MP kit it comes to exclusivity/status. When people see it everyone knows what it is and everyone knows its a fortune. Parts are worth what people are willing to pay.

Don't like it don't buy it. $700 isn't rediculous at all if the the build quality is good and the FITMENT is PERFECT.

That is the same way the JP ones is welded (except the hood latch). Its definitely heavier than the OEM but in all honesty, who cares?
