Default Time to join the gs?

Working my way to each Lexus model
99 ES300
03 IS300
92 LS400
Maybe 02 GS430 next.. Or a 400?

What should I be looking at with 180k miles? I'm going to look at the car this weekend.
02 GS430 1st owner, clean title, blk/blk, navi n all the other goodies

I see a few blk/blk 400s a little cheaper but the 430 has some stuff that I would end up buying n costing the same lol..

i believe the only main difference from the 400 and the 430 is just the interior. actually now that i really think about it, its really just the steering wheel lol. and more wood trims i guess on the 430, the cluster i think is a bit diffrent too. but yeah other than that theres not much different about it..

OHHHH you got the eshift on the 400! love that option! wish they had that in the 430

gs300 > gs 400 > gs 430

check for conditions of ball joint (as you probably know) and see if all the major services were done yet and if owner keeps up with maintenance , the usual things

Well for suspension I have a air set up just sitting here so I'll probably throw it on no more 300 for me or I'd end up boosting it again lol. I read somewhere on here that the 400s have eshift but the 430 has more hp/torque!
Gas mileage the same or is the 430 better? I searched this n saw 1 post saying the 430 gives better gas mileage

Honestly. I would opt for the 400 than the 430. Not just because I drive one, but because the 400 seems to have more of an edge to it than the 430. Maybe that's just my opinion.....

your incorrect.....we have a similar yet different motor. 1uz on the gs400 and 3uz mainly different on the internals but out gs430 has a 4.3 v8 to the 4.0 on the 400

wood interior wheel/ashtray door wood is a darker shade also, factory yellow fogs, factory HIDS, beefier castor arms, green tinted auto leveling headlights, side curtain airbags, and a few other things

I finally joined the GS club on Sunday black/black 02 GS430! The car had a bad passanger rear door actuator that I fixed yesterday and the ML sub is blown so I need to either replace it or put my kicker set up from the LS into it.. I'll try to get a few pictures of it later

Nice find that I was looking for one of those too but got the GS00 instead. Just be sure to do the maintenance and you will be good. Have fun with it.

Timing belt was done bout 25k miles ago next oil change in about 1500 miles or so..
The DIY door actuator was way better than spending 2xx for the whole thing haha

Mods so far: full led int/ext n JP interior accessories..
