Default actuator broken dorr won't open even with key!

I replaced the actuator in the door and it appears broken as the electric lock won't unlock the door nor will the key unlock the door. The key turns but nothing. How can I open the door again

You must bust that door panel off. Its gonna be a pain though since you dont have much space

I hope u have ur screws already off the panel, mine were when mine didnt work and i closed it to see if my actuator would work after i switched it to test it, low and behold mu door didnt open at all, i had to sit in the passenger side and pry it up with a screwdriver, my leather running up along the seatbelt has notches all in it, i damaged the leather, i had to do this twice, NOT FUN!!

WOW, is this a common issue when the actuators go out!!?? i mean i was aware of door actuators going bad but didn't think it would involve this much of a headache. Having to remove the panels with the door locked must be the biggest "P.I.T.A"

No, people just aren't smart enough to test it before putting the door panel back on.

You just pull the wire that opens the door

with the door open, you can check first to make sure that the actuator actuates by using the door lock button for either side. It won't lock but you can observe if the actuator tries to move the lock.
