wicked bad shake.75-90mph...HelP!!!
Ive been dealing with this shaking for a while. I have been pouring through the forum trying to find an answer. I have checked my LBJ's and they have no play. I just purchased new tires, road balanced and an alignment.
This is what has been happening. I will be driving on the highway and around 72-75 I feel a constant shack in my seat (*** to lower back). It gets worse around 80-85 but then will almost not shake around 90-115mph. There is no shake in the wheel but of course I feel it because the whole car is shaking.
I have recently changed my diff fluid with Valvoline Full synthetic and my new tires, nothing else really. Could be diff be F'd up??
My control arms seem ok upon visual inspection. What else could this be????? Driveshaft? I am really do not know wtf is going on.

That's not true at all. I used to have the shakes, now I don't. It's all a matter of how much of your time you want to spend diagnosing. Mine turned out to be inner tie rods and an alignment after that made it smooth like butter.

If it's in the seat and not in the steering wheel, I have to agree, bad U joint on the propshaft. I'm guessing it's not continuous in vibration level either, kind of phases in and out at a steady pace.
Mine has it, same MPH range, and it has 175K on it. 99.5% positive that's what it is on mine, just haven't gotten around to fixing nor will I (gte swap going in along w/ different prop).

Thanks for all the responses guys. I have some updates. I have not check anything out just yet because of work but here are some more symptoms
-It seems to be worse in the rain....(been raining in boston for 3 days) it would start at 60mph and go to around 80-8ish
-shakes increases if im turning/bend on the highway
-Shakes vary intensity with accel and decel
That's the point man. I have read all the treads, nothing worked yet. I obviously dont want my car to shake on the highway when that's only where I drive it!

So I was under the distinct impression that I had a decent amount of propshaft u joint vibration on top of my front end issues as I mentioned earlier.
Well, I went ahead and change the front upper ball joint on the right hand side that I found to be going bad (had the smallest amount of play) and it cleared up 95% of the vibration I had.
Had almost exactly the same sympthoms you're describing. So, jack up the front of your car, pull both wheels off, and try to wiggle the top fo the steering knuckle on both sides. If you perceive any play in that upper ball joint (where the knuckle meets the upper control arm), replace those.
