I've always heard the ls460 is the best in output, cutoff, and range vs. any other

It's the LS430 that has the best. The LS460 is less than the 430's. 430 has the widest range and best output. I don't know of comparison of M35/LS460, but I do have a friend that did M35 on his and I have seen it. It looks clean and has nice output. I would do a M35 if I had the choice if that helps you with your decision.

Also you can look at his thread for more info and pics:

Plus his Dad drives a LS460, so if you REALLY want a head to head comparison i'd PM him and ask him personally to test his Dads v. his.

I don't think the ls460 high beam projectors will fit without hacking up the back of your housings. I got a pair with my ls460 low beams and played around with them, its probably possible but it'd take more cutting than I was willing to do.

Great choice. Also if you're trying to find something to fit into the high beams a TSX projector will fit.

Agreed! I was looking for used LS430 headlights when it came time to do my retrofit. At the time it seems like a used pair was very hard to get though.

I know a guy with several LS430 projectors (varying in condition)
I purchased mine and had the seller do:
E30 clear lens
colormod
throw in some used OEM bulbs

I paid $360 shipped. A LOT more $$ than the complete kit from TRS (I should know, I have morimotos on both my tacomas) but, decided to go all out for my GS retro. Will post pictures as soon as I get my brackets from Luxurymods (2 week backorder)

Who have u contacted at luxury mods? Ive called and left messages but no response. Tony emailed me back once but that was last week.

Btw i paid less than half of that for the ls460s.. the seller pulled them right out the headlights in pristine condition. Prolly just gona keep the oem lens for now.

But for sure post up pics of ur progress runyun

I went and purchased the brackets from his site - Tony emailed me that night stating it was on backorder. As far as the LS460's price - I know. I could have gotten LS460 (low beam) all day for $150-$160 shipped.

Trust me, I spent many days contemplating which to go:
LS460 for $160 or;
LS430 for $325 (not including the mods done to it)

At the end of the day, decided to go with the wider beam spread and I liked the way the LS430 shrouds looked in 2nd gen headlights. Will def post pics after its done (after I get my brackets of course)
