274k Miles!!! Geesh!!! And I was reluctant to buy my 99 gs400 with 125k miles last month.
I wanted to stay under 100K miles but found it IMPOSSIBLE to find one at the color I wanted
It did have the timing belt and over $5K of service records done. So my deal of $6500 is looking better every day. I guess anything over 100K is "break in" mileage for our Lexus.

Hope your car stays well behaved and enjoyable. I just couldn't bare looking at an odometer reading nearly at 300K !

Just turn on the trip odometer and don't look at the miles

Does look pretty nice, unfortunately needs a timing belt job, and NO woodgrain steering wheel or woodgrain astray. Thats the best part of the GS.

I am truly in awe on how these gs interior parts hold up with all those miles.

interior looks great. if the timing belt sticker is correct, you are waaaay overdue for timing belt and possibly water pump service.

Just like my LS430 with 117k miles, it did not have a sticker on the engine. I found it was done in the service records.

The timing belt was done 60k ago on this GS300 as per service records.

My end all be all for this car is a 2jzgte swap, single turbo, e-85 (gas station right next to my house). Roughly 400-500 hps/torkz and I am gtg....with a built tranny. And all the other goodies to go with that.

Paint will come soon, I think I will stick with silver but a house of kolors Silver.....waiting to see some sample swatches.

And then wheels I think I am going to put on some 07-ish Nismo 350z wheels (rays foraged wheels) and full swap of suspension parts.....bushings and coilovers sway bars and strut bars.

Hope to be done with all this before winter here (October).

Oh, found out the rear main seal is not leaking, but has fresh oil on it no drops on the ground or anything. Not a huge deal, I have checked the oil every day since I got back into town from Chi town. No loss as of yet. Plus I am saving already for the GTE swap.....not concerned about it.

Hmm just a question,

Why buy a car that is maintained well if you plan on replacing the motor/suspension? Wouldn't it be wise to buy a cheaper/roller GS then swap / upgrade.?

That is a good question. They suspension goodies need to be updated anyway......most of the bushings are cracked or about to go out all together......and coilovers because why not? lol

And engine because I have not seen a direct bolt on turbo kit for the GE.....otherwise I would do that. But its also insurance (gte can handle boost stock, ge can but not much). And built tranny so no slipping and refresh of it.

And a supra LSD rear end too......
