Intro thread: 98 Cinnabar/Grey updated 2/24/13
Hello all. I've been creepin for a while and now that I actually have a Lexus I feel that it's time to get to know the community a little better. I just picked up a 1998 Gs400 in the Cinnabar Red Pearl yesterday and I've already begun ordering parts. I managed to find a head unit that looks fairly stock but utilizes a 7.5" touch screen and I've gone guinea pig and ordered the M2 Racing catback off of ebay. I see that no one has video of it yet except on a 300 so hopefully I'll be the first. I'm not scared of the bargain bin exhausts as I can modify it myself if I don't like how it turns out. I have been driving a 90 Miata for the past 8 years and it was at one point a show car then changed to my daily and now it's sitting in front of my house leaking coolant ever so slowly into our local sewage lines. I actually sell cars for Toyota at a Toyota/Lexus/Audi/BMW dealership here in Springfield, MO which is where I plan on having any work done I'm too lazy to do myself. I'm 22 and will be getting married in May and I can say that my lady is beyond excited for me to have gone from a Miata with race suspension to a GS. I'm excited to learn more about what these cars have to offer and will keep everyone updated on my build as much as possible. Below is a picture of my GS as well as my little brother's IS300 which he picked up 5 days before I bought mine... He got his with 100k on the dot for 6500 bucks... I about lost my mind at the deal he stumbled upon...

Heard a popping coming from the front end the past few days. Initial inspection before I bought the car said that the balljoints were fine but had the Lexus service department take a look at the dealership where I work and my service guy showed me how worn they really were... Luckily parts were in stock and I'm getting it fixed next door while I'm at work today. No problem dropping the money when I can leave with peace of mind at the end of the day.

New M2 exhaust on and it sounds great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZcku...AaMi3OCN3TM%3D
Got the windows tinted and my double din head unit installed incorporating the factory rear sub and it sounds amazing. My rims and coil springs are on back-order so it's gonna be a while until any substantial updates come around...
