P0441 CEL Code; won't rev past 3800-4k; VVTI not engaging
I've been searching the forums and the internet the past few days trying to find an answer. And found folks with the same problem but no solution. So I decided to try my own thread.
Its a 99 gs300 w/ a 2jzge motor. So the problem is the car idles and runs nice and smooth. But when you try and rev past 3800-4k it hits what feels like a rev limiter. It has a p0441 code and also I changed the spark plugs, valve cover gasket and vvti pulley. And i've also cleaned the TB and the MAF.
Now im just thinking its a old vacuum line to the evap.
HELP Any info will help...thanks in advance

Are you doing this while your engine is cold? I do have a 00' gs400 with a stock engine, and That happens to me before the engine heats up, but once the engine warms up it revs all the way to the redline.
