yeah man, this rebuild has basically renewed my interest all over again, the build process is fun and exciting for sure. Im going to get the seats and door panels redone with black suede inserts once I get the car up and running. Im dropping alot of coin on the project, i want to make sure I dont run out of money 3/4 the way through. The interior was a spur of the moment purchase that I didnt plan on, but it was calling my name.[/QUOTE

For me I get bored with a car and want to sell it as soon as I feel like there's not much more I can do with it. I like the end result but if I feel like it's "finished" I get sick of it quickly. If you keep the thought of having more to do with the car it'll stay fresh. I wish I had the budget to be doing the things you're doing.

Well, well, well. Nice to see I am not the only one re-rebuilding a GS400 TT. One of the original four horsemen still rides!!

So what new goodies are you gonna put in for more HP? Or are you just gonna turn up the boost? What about the drive train? Are you tearing down the motor? I did and was pleasantly surprised that it held up very well. consider it was pushing 500+ RWHP and daily driven. The bearings which were coated by calico looked almost brand new. That was amazing for nearly 40K miles on the motor.

Looking forward to your second "finished" product!

[quoteinspire me to keep my GS please!!!!!]
try selling it and see how many BS offers you get, that was all the inspiration I needed.

Plus, I started thinking about the time I had invested, and how much I actually still like the car. My buddy just sold his Viper GTS yesterday. He sent me a text saying you never realize how good your car looks until you see it pulling away with its new owner! That says it all.

So glad to see you are keeping her Jeff!!! Can't wait to see how the next round of mods turns out. A CF wrapped roof would definitely tie in the hood and trunk, and maybe do some CF accents in the front and rear bumpers or side skirts, kind of like Bob's GS. Those accents on Bob's car turned out really nice.

yeah, I do li9ke how he tied his in for sure. Im going to wait until I get it all back together and take it in for a minute then go from there. I will most likely CF wrap the roof, just take it off if I dont like it.

I should be full swing into the fun stuff on the rebuild in the next two weeks.
