20% or 5%???
Hey guys, I have a 1999 dark green GS400 and I've been doing some work on it but I still need to get tints.
First of all, I wanted to know if anyone has any shops near/in the San Fernando Valley that they recommend.
Also, I want a public opinion, should I get 20% or 5% on the back windows and back windshield?
I appreciate all the help in advance.
P.S. Those of you in Cali, what would you recommend for the front two?

I have limo tint all around on my lexus.. and i strongly regret ever doing so.. Looks really cool from the outside, but can't see a damn thing at night.. rather dangerous, if you ask me.. So, i would choose 20% over the 5% any day.
also, cops will give you less of a hard time with a more see-through window.

I have 5% on all the back windows of my gs300.. and 20% in the front.. I personally think this is the best way to go if you live in a state like CA with strict *** tint laws... you can hardly see through my windows durning the day.. and no way at night.. ANDY at TINT on wheels.com.. check this guy out.. he has done over a dozen cars for me and the homies.. QUALITY work.. at a great price, and he will come to your house/business and work on your car while you are working.. LEGIT/RELIABLE GUY!! http://www.tintonwheels.com/ LIFETIME WARRANTY * SATISFACTION GUARANTEED - PM if you go through him i can get you a discount****

20% on the rear and 35% all around would be the best compromise. With 5% on the sides it would create a hazard at night and for anyone driving at you without their high beams on. Plus, i like scanning for the po-po in my rearview and 20% would not be so good....IJS.

The plural if tint is still... tint.
I could never understand where "tints" came from. Is it street slang?
5% is crazy, especially here in CA. You will still have Johnny Law looking at you for 20%.
I prefer a lighter, classy tint - but I don't mind the ladies checking me out.
