Default Foglight Fuse keeps blowing.

Recently, my foglights fuse been blowing out everytime time i flip the switch for the foglights to come on. It blows immediately after i try to turn on my fogs. This never happend before so its kind of odd. Anyone know whats wrong?

Sounds like a short somewhere. Maybe one of you plugs or wires have come loose.

It's either your fogs are drawing too much amp or you got a short to ground on the power side. That's gonna be fun to find.

I had the same exact problem on my civic. It turned out to be a short. Retrace ur wiring.

do you have hid fogs? this happened to me too and I didnt know why. Come to find out that one of my ballasts got wet. I got it replaced and now no more fuse blowing.. if that is the case make sure to wrap the ballasts in a bag so they dont get wet. GL

I know this is an old thread but I didnt wanna start a new one for the same situation. Im currently experiencing this. I thought maybe my ballast may have been bad so I replaced both ballasts and its still blowing the foglight fuse. So I then completely unplugged the foglights and even then when I turn the foglight switch on it blows the fuse. Has anyone experienced this? Im thinking it may be at the switch but Im not sure how would I check to be sure. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Yes, take it to a mechanic with electrical knowledge. they can test the circuit..
