Default Tire pressure for 245/35 on 20X10.5?

So, I finally got my new wheels on last night. 225/35 on a 20X9 and 245/35 on a 20X10.5. I had them pressurized at 40 psi, but today Firestone decided to air them down to 31 since that is the factory spec (i was getting a broken stud replaced). It feels more comfortable now, but is it safe? Looking for advice from people with stretched tires. For what it's worth, I drive like a grandpa, but daily the car.

I'd keep them up around the 38-40 you had them at. This is what I've always run low-pro tires at, never run a crazy stretch personally but this has worked well for a mild stretch and normal fitment for me. Is be a little worried about wheel protection at 31 psi.

I run about 33psi with same size tires. No issues.
