I'm pretty sure Depo made the tail lights for insurance. Just like how Sonar made the tail lights for JP. The manufacturers usually have a exclusivity agreement for a set amount of time(like 1 yr) then they can then stuff freely.
Like, if you look on the JP tail lights, there is Sonar stamped inside the housings. If you had a real set of insurance tails, it might possibly say Depo inside.

OP, the tails look good!

I picked up a set from their office for a friend. They come wrapped nicely as well. From what I remember they came with 3 sets of resistors and also a detailed paper with images to what connects where. He told me that if the resistors were connected correctly, that they were guaranteed not to throw a CEL

Nice! I've been looking for some on my GS430 and really wanted the Depo ones like yours. Does your engine check like come on? From what I've been hearing from certain ppl is that some aftermarket ones give them problems w/ their engine check light. Is it simple plug'n play, and do you have to deal w/ any resistors?
As far as where to find great l.e.d. bulbs, my cousin and friends suggested v-leds.com. I have bought all my bulbs there and it's been excellent for the past yr now.

^^^these are plug and play. I dont think they'll give you any CELs. It will just indicate that you have a light out. As far as I know the resistors get really hot. I myself don't use the resistors. You should pick a set up. Great look and product.

I just got a set from Ebay there DEPO brand for 250 with shipping... work and look great. the resistors dont get that hot, and havent affected the trunk liner at all and there mounted to the bolts that hold the tail light in so theyll never fall off, and i unplugged the trunk ones because i like the looks of just the outters better.
