New member of Lexus Club and the owner of a 2000 GS 400. Im 73 years old and aquired the car from my brother who is 80 years oid. He purchased it in 2004 where it was in the showroom of Lexus of Smithtowm Long Island NY with30,000 miles. Its white with tan interior and a spoiler with Nakomici stereo. My sister in law drove it until 2018 when they gave it to me with 125,000 miles and well maintained. Ive had it for four years and put on 53,000 miles. Total now is 173,000. During the four years of ownership ive had the timing belt and water pump service performed.Synthetic oil and filter every 5,000. The radiator and coolant are new as well as the altenator. The trans has new fluid. Ill tell you the good stuff first and then the not so good. The lexus has never been in an accident. No after market modes Totally stock. The engine and trans are really smooth. The wheels are after market 17" with 245/45 17 BF goodrich rubber. Exterior has the hood paint peeling. the interior is very clean wiyh only the cloth on the drivers door coming off. The ash tray has never been used..Just recently the Brake master cylinder left me with a rock hard brake pedal and we know what that can meen. The AC needs a condensoir. The rotors, calipers and pads have been maintained. For got to mention a variable valve senor was replaced along the way. Tipical of theese cars the front susspension needs attention.Hope to make 30 more posts and thirty more days if you know what i mean.. Havent tended to the brake master cyliner issue so the car is just sitting there

hey welcome and good luck! Definitely worth fixing up the car the gs 400 in good condition is special and rare. Try and find a used brake master cylinder from a junk yard or eBay. This happened on my old gs430 around the same mileage as yours.
