I have been seriously debating wheter to add this antenna too boost AM/FM receception and for looks. Well okay mostly for looks

Currently on the GS, the antenna wire is strecthed across the rear glass. I have verfied that this exact antenna as seen below will fit the Lexus GS. It will boost signal strength by 30-40% and it looks really cool. Cost of antenna is about $50 bucks.

This is the exact same antenna as on a acura MDX.

Just wanted some opinions on what you guys think

It's all subjective really. If you like the way it looks, and you need the additional reception, by all means, pull the trigger.

Me, I wouldn't. When I tried mentally picturing that on a GS, I thought to myself, Passat, which is not what I want to associate my GS with . Hey, maybe it'll look great, and we'll all praise you for discovering a new mod (like we need more excuses to spend $ on the GS) .

But hey, dowhatchalike.

If it was smaller I might like it. I'd probably use it to boost my nav reception though.

I personally like the fact that there are no unnecessary appendages on the GS. The MDX and TL have that antenna only for OnStar--not the radio. To be honest, it was one factor that pushed me to the GS over the TL; that external antenna just breaks up the lines of the car.

my 99 328i has a short antenna for cell phone. although it looks cute, i wish it didn't exist. it is in the way when i put my car cover on, and it is another easy to steal thing to worry about.
