Unhappy 20x10" Rohana RL-10 rear wheels on '03 GS430

Hi everyone...I'm new to the site and needing some help. My first mod is already a no-go!

Does anyone else have Rohana RL-10 20x10" +40mm rear wheels on their GS4?

I just got some and they won't clear the stock rear caliper. They are supposed to fit based on several sellers' "100% fitment guaranteed" online wheel selectors for a 2003 GS430. Rohana even has a 2GS on their website with these wheels on it.

Any thoughts?

Maybe they used a spacer for selling purposes... Any pics of the wheel?

with that offset you could throw a spacer on with no problem..

You probably need a small spacer, 3mm or so. It's due to the spoke design. The RL10 20x10 does come in a +25, which would be a more flush fitment and have no issues.

When I ordered them, they only let me get the +40mm offset when I had my vehicle entered. I assumed it was because these were the ones that should be able to fit as-is, but???
I'll try to get the pic posted shortly.

Yeah, sometimes the spoke design varies a little, Rohana probably used a small spacer on the 2GS on the website, that's no problem though, I can offer you a 3mm if you are interested.

And the scuff on the edge of the piston housing on the rear rotor after test fitting....stock wheel already back on.

Be careful how you word that. The +25 will definitely require rolling or cutting he rear fenders.

keramey12 try using a 3mm spacer of that doesn't work try a 5mm. If neither of those work you may need to go thicker and roll/cut the fenders

Great looking wheel... Weird how you still need a spacer with a 40+ offset....

20x10 +25 is not too bad in the rear if you run a slightly stretch tire, something like a 245 width, minimal rubbing when fully loaded.

A small spacer will fix your problem though.

The offset really has nothing to do with the brake clearance. When it comes with wheels with a lip, the deeper the lip means the face is pushed back more. The more the face is pushed back the small the disk pad on the back side for brake clearance. Not to mention the spoke curve backwards which gives less clearance but gives a larger lip.

But take for example a wheel like the Axis Angle which has no lip. If this wheel was the same specs (20x10 +40) this would have absolutely no brake clearance issues because there is no lip, giving inches more of brake clearance.

But if he's lowered already then minimal rubbing turns to rubbing everywhere
