By doing so I would lose my push button shifting and the trans would be experimental, I might have to pull it a few times for them to get it perfect. I was told by running a built Aristo trans on a stock ECU I would probably burn up the transmission. With that said there was no benefit to building the Aristo 4 speed so I decided to go with the proven 1000 RWHP Titan Supra tranny, the shift linkage and drive shaft bolted right up as I got one with the 3 bolt flange. I should have my car up and running this week with the new set up! Looking forward to blasting into the 10's.
Arg, definitely not what I wanted to hear. I actually talked to Titan on the phone to discuss getting same thing built up for me.

I'm really wanting to avoid going stand alone. I'd like to maintain stock cold weather start up, not carrying a laptop to tweak and so forth. Ugh.

Anyone want to find me a wadded up Auto Supra TT that I can buy the part out

It';s all in the tuning, get a good tuner and the cold start isn't bad at all. I wasn't concerned with the stand alone, my problem was I kept burning up bearings in the bottom end due to a blocked oil galley. That's why I just started over with an entire new drivetrain.

no point in upgrading the fuel, you need the stock Aristo MAF meter. Also my car would always spark knock on the stock MAF meter and stock ecu, I think it was due to the high octane fuel over in Japan, the ecu was tuned for JSPEC fuel so even on 93 octane I wold hear a little spark knock, that is one of the reasons I went back to a stand alone.

I thought I'd give an update, my car has gone through the next round of mods. I just filled her up with E85 for the 1st time tonight, looking forward to tuning tomorrow. The new mods that have gone on in the past few months are: Precision 6766 .81 turbo, modified header with twin wastegates, exhaust resonators to keep the noise down, 1200 cc injectors, twin Aeromotive pumps, Titan Stage 2 automatic trans with Titan 3500 stall, NX 75 shot of nitrous, AEM stand alone to control the shifting as the Haltech cannot do so, twin trans coolers, trans temp gauge, remote trans filter, Supra non vvti intake / TB, BFG drag radials, TRD LSD rear, replaced the GS400 rear with the GS300 diff for the auto. Will be hitting the track soon!

Adam, youre gonna need bigger injecotrs to take advantage of that E85 bro. Throw some ID 2000's in that puppy and crank up the boost.

I just upgraded from 1000 cc injectors to 1200cc injectors. The 2000's suck for low speed driving. The bigger you go the more drive ability you lose. 1200's are sized perfect for a PTE6766 .81. That turbo will max out at 850 RWHP or so, the 1200's will handle that on E85.

Thanks guys, the Lexus feels really stron, last night I took it for a drive at 25 psi on E85, it pulls really hard and gets a little scary hitting 2nd gear. Even with the drag radials it gets sideways hitting 2nd.

Well I broke my 3rd Titan built A340E running E85, my new TH400 will be here on Tuesday, its the Stage 3 SP400 with the trans brake, I plan on adding a gear vendors overdrive unit at a later date which will make it a 6 speed ratchet shifting auto.

I had that exact same set up in my TTGS4 for awhile, damn near unbrakeable, but I didnt care for it for street driving.

Why not go 6 speed?

I had the 6 speed but I want to go auto with a trans brake for the track. With the 6 speed I wasn't happy with the length / throw of the shifter, as you may be aware in order to make the 6 speed work we have to make our shifter 50% longer than a stock shifter which creates a much longer throw, also I was never happy with the pedal placement of the clutch or the looks of the center console area from the extensive modification for the 6 speed, not to mention the high cost of the clutches. I will probably add a gear vendors so I will have a 6 speed TH400 and can cruise at 80MPH at 2,000 rpm.
