Default Anyone help on changing alternator fuse? 2001 gs430

I blew my alternator fuse.... Does anyone have info on how to disassemble the fuse box in order to get to the screws on the bottom of the fuse..... Pics would be helpful if anyone has them ... Any help would be appreciated Found a bunch of stuff on the net saying it had to be dissasembled but no diagram anywhere and no real detailed DIy. Are the screws flat head or philips and what tools are gonna be needed for disassembly? Thanks ahead of time...

I did this once on my gs. If I remember correctly its only held by a few screws. (easily viewable). The difficult part was that you need to use a flat screwdriver to push some plastic clips (which actually hold the black plastic fuse tray) so that you may lift off the black plastic fuse box. Sorry I don't have more details but just look at it and keep messing with it. Thats what I did and I did it using my cell phone as my flash light. Just don't give up and keep messing with it. It will come off.
Sorry I can't be more detailed, I just messed with it and figured it out, also it was a while ago.

I changed mine 2 weeks ago. It is held in by an 8mm bolt and a 10mm bolt. The most difficult part is taking appart the fuse box. It's a few stubborn clips holding it together. Sounds easy but it took me more than 30 minutes to get the plastic pieces appart.

Just did the alternator fuse on the car... Now I got a new prob car won't start.. Checked all the fuses by the battery and they are all good.. Navigation works but the radio doesn't... Everything else is working as far as I can see... It doesn't even sound like it wants to turn over just dead silence when I turn the key... Original reason the fuse blew was due to a jump start that went wrong, I reversed the wires... Could it be I shorted out the starter? Or even worse the comp? Any help at this point is good help trying to avoid getting it towed to the stealership... Thanks ahead of time..

checked all the fuses they all lit up so im guessing they are all working... i was reading on another post that someone had changed their fuse and when puttin the screw back he didnt relize that the wire had fell in the fuse box and was not attached to the fuse on one side.... i am gonna try and troubleshoot it again tommorow this could have possibly happened to me when i was lifting the fuse box trying to get the socket in there.... keeping my fingers crossed.....
would everything else work if the comp was fried? figured nothing would work in that case...
keeping my fingers crossed on this not connected wire thing.....
as far as the radio not working, where would i locate the fuse for the factory amp thinking that might have blown??
if anyone has any other ideas of what it could be let me know so i could just try one thing after another....
THANKS>>>>

Try checking the fuses by the kick panels on the driver's side and the passengers. Also if you are checking the fuses with a test light make sure you check both ends of the fuse. Make sure you have battery voltage at the starter and alternator before you start taking the fuse box apart again

Ok after changing about 10 or 12 fuses between the ones on the passenger side drivers side and under the hood, the GS is back up and running with everything working. Thanks for all the help I def would of had no shot of getting it running without all your help... Now back to the important things like hooking it up....
