01 GS 300 198,xxx miles. Only major fault is that the condenser just went out. Some of the lights on the stereo (ML) have gone out too, which is a pain when driving at night. Other than wear items, nothing too bad.

104k and still running strong, my AC comp went out a few years ago, thats the most serious problem I've had with the car. Right now some of the LCD's in the radio display are dead but other than that, the car is in mint condition.

193,000 miles and was running great until recently when I had my very 1st engine problem. Still trying to diagnose.....think it might be the water pump. Back light on the radio went out which sucks at night. Paint is starting to fade on the rocker panels but I love this car!!

Default 14 years old!!!

I got my GS 400 October 9th 1997. First one in Canada. It still runs like new, no major problems other than getting a brand new transmission at 300000kms.

Default 199,050....looking forward to rolling over again!

No major problems. Got the shimmy back....has to be the wheel tire combo. All else is really tight. Going to get balanced this weekend.

'98 GS4 bought it with 160k miles, now has 210k miles. Engine and tranny are STRONG and smooth as butter. Run Pennzoil full synthetic and go 7-8k miles between oil changes and it doesn't use or burn oil at all. Like everyone else has said tho, front suspension is weak link on this car. Replaced shocks and caster arms, upper and lower control arms need to be done.

2001 GS430, bought it with 30,000 miles, now have 220,500 and counting... Will drive it 'til it drops. Runs strong, no leaks, mostly aftermarket suspension so suspension peices holding up well. The transmission was replaced 30,000 miles ago, but couldn't complain because I got a torque converter at 45,000 miles...and I did A LOT of burnouts with that TC Re-built tranny now, didn't re-install TC, still have intake and exhaust, and runs like a charm. But I do miss that TC.

The reason there are so many claims to these cars being able to easily surpass 300k is because it's got the same engine as the LS400s which have been around much longer than the 2GS. I have no problem believing that the 300k mile mark is an easy feat for these cars. Keep up with maintenance, perform regular inspections, and your car will thank you for it a hundred times over.

Very nice GS my friend. Maybe I'll see you at a local meet one of these days. I also got a GS430 as a daily car.
