Default 2002 Lexus GS 300 Factory Amp Question

I just got a 02 lexus gs 300 and I am curious to know how strong is the factory amp? I am planning to upgrade my double din deck to a PIONEER AVH-2300dvd and wondering if this will improve the sound quality vs the factory amp? Any input is appreciated, thanks.

From my experience, not strong or everlasting at all. Mines just died few weeks ago now my radio or cd player is not working.

My main question is, will the pioneer aftermarket deck improve sound quality over factory stereo.

It's unlikely you'll be able to tell a noticeable difference. To make any kind of serious improvement you're better off replacing your speakers and even further, putting in a 4-channel amplifier.

You're better off with an aftermarket radio

I just replaced the factory head unit on my 02 GS300 to a JVC NT700. In doing so I bypassed the factory Amp. Sound quality is decent. It's just as loud, if not louder than the stock. I'll definetly have to get an amp for the Sub.
