There used to a good read on bobistheoilguy testing lucas and the harm it does to your engine. I would also never run that stuff. Redline or Valvoline Complete Fuel Cleaner are the ones that have PEA and could potentially help you, that is why Gsteg recommended it. Regane is questionable now if it actually has any PEA.

Just talked to lexus, FINALLY got the mechanic on the phone, he told me he honestly thinks I should get the valves adjusted, but he won't know if the tick will be gone or not until he hears my car, so why would I pay $600 for a tick that might not be able to go away? Should I just tell them forget it if I get down there and that's the case? Or get it done regardless? What would u do? I have the money, and it just so happens to be on valentines day, so their gonna give me a loaner for the day so I can take the fiancé out to dinner and such.....Thanks peeace!!!

You will then need to remove the coil and inspect your spark plug. I had a damaged spark plug causing a loud tick and eventually led to a miss in the engine. I have 242k on my car and never had a valve adjustment. No ticking sound since I replaced the defective plug,
That's amazing
