The reset procedure is one of the first section that talks about not having the handheld tool
Worthy of a shout-out/bump. Printed out the pdf, will check for codes later today, bought car with the lights on, told left/front sensor, time to finally confirm, get some new parts in there, and get those lights off.

What do bad tires have to do with it?

Presumably, the system depends on all 4 wheels rotating in a predictable way, to what the system is expecting. So if one of the wheels/tires is out-of-round, or has too small or large of a rotating distance, the system might believe that one of the sensors is always bad, and disables the system (until the out-of-sync item is fixed).

It happened with my 99 gs 300 4 month ago. The battery depleted, finally I check the alternator.
I replaced the Altenator, and all the lights never come back on.
I hope this help.
