A topic I can speak on from experience owned a G35 sedan and I'd say my G35 is faster from a stop than the GS400, handles better as well but higher speeds the GS400 wins and it's smooth and controlled all the way up and past 100 no screaming VQ, shaking etc... It's compariable to my BMW past 100 mph it settles in and keeps going. G35 has been sold! Love the GS400. I'd say the GS400 & my FX35 are about on par as far speed and the both sound great at WOT.

I ran, spare of the moment a G37 S coupe on the highway. He was tailing me and took off, so did he. by 115mph he was about 2-3 cars back where he was on my rear bumper when we started at around 70mph. This was about a year ago. Very nice cars though...

Just about the best response in this thread

Stock (Gs400) for Stock (G35). These cars are very close.. It a hard call because it depends on the driver.. The G35 is better off the line because its more peppy, the GS400 is awesome once it gets rolling past 2nd gear. Both quick cars.. but if you're the driver of the GS400 (If you fall asleep or not pay attention) the G35 will blast by you.. I'm not saying a G35 will win, it'll be a very close race but this is not really a matter of which car is faster - its a drivers race.. The driver determines the outcome...

I owned both cars at the same time and its pretty even stock vs stock but the GS400 has a slight edge if you REALLY know how to drive.. but make no mistake the G35 will take you out if you're not in total command of your GS400!

Yeah, but being a 10+ yr old car and heavier it needs a little something to even the playing ground. I tell you what, stock versus stock, throw 200-300 lbs in the trunk of a g37 coupe so its similar weight to a gs4 and now the race is that much closer.

G37S coupes weigh 3631 lbs and the GS400 weighs 3690 lbs. An extra 60 lbs in the G won't make a difference.

I have also raced a G37 S this pass summer and beat him by 3 or 4 cars. After 100mph he stood his ground and didn't fall back as I can see. We only went up to 135mph though. Second race I gave him a car head start and passed him by with him behind me about a couple cars. Not sure what mods he had. Great looking car

Just magnaflow exaust, and one resonator delete. I'm thinking if I should delete them all.

Not at any point was I comparing the 2 cars handling wise. We all know our cars handle like **** unless you have serious suspension work. Straight line performance I have enough faith in my gs to take on any g35(stock) that I encounter. Vid will be up soon.

I have a 05 maxima, 97 maxima, and sis has a g37. Stock for stock all cars are close in performance.
