I've been a long time lurker on ClubLexus and it's time I come out of my shell. I've always wanted a 2GS since forever and I couldn't initially get it as my first car because it was out of my budget and because of insurance rates. So, I settled for a gray 2003 Acura TL Type S. Some of you SoCal peeps might've seen my car around because I used to go every meet out there, especially the VIP meets since that's the scene I'm familiar with.
Anyways, I recently picked up a black on black 2003 Lexus GS300 SportDesign with 146k miles. Drove all the way from California to Arizona to pick it up. The car itself does need a bit of TLC, but with any car, nothing is perfect. I already accumulated a list of things to fix/DIY. Hopefully my new experience on this board is the same from my previous (Acurazine).
Out with the old:
In with the new:
And yes.. I realized that the car didn't come with the SportDesign rims or the 01-05 grill. It currently has the 98-00 grill, which is painted in glossy black.

i'm on a budget cause i'm still going to school.. but i don't plan on doing anything big besides coilovers. i love riding slammed/dumped. i plan on doing the DIY chrome grill, converting all the lights to LEDs, HID fogs, DIY door actuators, and other maintenance. in the long run.. my goal is to go VIP. and i made the drive because i wanted a black/black and couldn't settle for anything less because i hated tan interior and this was the only car i could find thats black on black, under 150k miles, and not a '98. i was actually thinking of buying looney's car but it just had too many miles for my taste and it had tan interior. it was modded nicely though, don't get me wrong.

congrats your pick SD! nice to hear that you have patience to get something that you really want and set your mind to it. mine's tan interior, i really wanted the black ones, but at the time i didnt really care for it as long as it was a GS. hope to see your build soon. good luck.
