Default Enigmatic's GS

Hey everyone, I've been on the forum for a few months now and I just thought I'd introduce myself formally. My name is David and I've owned a GS since November of last year. This is the first of hopefully many proper cars I will drive in my life. I've done some minor modifications since I got it and I must say I'm very impressed with the quality of the work Toyota put in for this line of cars.

Further, I must thank everyone here for all of the invaluable information this website has provided me with. This board serves as a resource I never would have imagined being apart of when I bought the car.

Anyways, enough with the jabber and onto the pictures. Forgive me for the quality. Enjoy!

Sounds like this is a long overdue welcome, since you've been lurking for awhile now. I was the same way, back in 2003. I was a lurker for about a year, then I finally bought a GS, and I became a contributing "poster".

I've had my GS since 2004, mine's a 2001. 180,000 miles later, I still love my car. You made a good decision.

And as you have already figured out, ClubLexus will make your Lexus-owning experience at least 10 times better than if you would have never found this place. So much good information about our cars, the data is endless.

Car looks like it was well-kept, which is nice. What year is it, and how many miles? I also made my rear badgeless except for the Lexus emblem, and I love it. Enjoy the car.

And welcome to The Club. It's a special place for Lexus owners, for sure.

that's a strange color combo you've got there. My 2000 GS4 was platinum silver and had the exact same colored interior as yours. Just seems weird to see it in a black car.

I thought the same thing when I initially got the car but it has definitely grown on me. As much as a black interior appeals to me it is nice when it doesn't attract as much heat on those longer summer days.

Thanks Alex. I went with v-leds and everything came out just as I had hoped.

Thank you. It's a 2000 GS300 with around 105,680 miles on it. I got it at about 101,xxx and I immediately did the timing belt and water pump. The interior is in pretty good shape too, there are only a few stains from coffee in the back seats and the top of the steering wheel has worn pretty substantially.

And I actually recently debadged my car and I love the look.

Looks like you installed some OEM yellow fogs too?

It's time for some HID's! Go with 4300.
