Default Anything else while we're in there?

Hey, guys I plan on getting the following work done to my 99 GS300 with 168k miles:

Timing belt
Water pump
Thermostat
Cam seals - dealer and buddy tech said they're leaking and I have been losing oil
Rear struts
Serpentine belt

I know the cam seals are recommended during the timing belt replacement due to convenience. Is there anything else that should be done while we're in there?

I just did the timing belt on mine over the weekend. Make sure to use OEM parts only. Also might as well change the spark plug wires, check your radiator and see for signs of wear/stress and probably a good idea to replace them since you're probably taking them out anyways. Replace the upper / lower hoses too. Valve cover gasket if its never been replaced. Mine leaked at 180k.

I'm thinking to do this
Wer could I buy this timing belt and water pump set?
I know Sewell does for $250+ with our discount
Is there any cheaper place? I want all oem parts..

I would stick with Sewell if I were you. They have the timing belt kit with Timing Belt, Water Pump, Idler,3 O-Rings, Coolant. You can also buy the 2cam seal and the crank seal at any toyota dealer. Might be a little cheap. The valve cover gasket you can buy at specialty stores like Napa auto or Rockauto parts if you want cheaper. Get the Felpro brand. Good luck.

The VVTi cam pulley has an O-ring in it that usually goes bad at higher mileage. You can get a viton O-ring from JeffTsai on here or buy the whole pulley from the dealer. I resealed mine with Permatex since I didn't hear back from Jeff in time.

Is front crank seal the same as front main seal?

If you're doing cam seals (x2) then replace the crank seal since you're in the front of the engine. This is not to be confused with the rear main seal that's on the other side of the engine.

Oil control valve - agreed. Replace it.
Valve cover gaskets - agreed - replace them both.
t/b tensioner - agree.
