I don't think I can handle seeing the lines on the sides or inconsistent thickness. But that's just me.
I think you're right. I actually like the softness of the foam underneath the leather but the lines on the side is bothering me ever so slighly. I wasnt that hard so i think im going to just re-do the sides tom and make sure i have consistent thinkness all the way around and also re-stretch the leather so get a better oem look. But it looks a ton better than what i originally had so im not complaining either way.

You should also note that this isn't a leather cover; its vinyl. If vinyl isn't cured/treated properly, over time -- shorter amount of time -- it will end up smelling real bad and degrade for lack of a better word than the lexus leather.

Looks great though. I did mine in microsuede and leather sides. Sun + peoples arms = redo soon.

Direct from the auction:

Auction is for NEW ARMREST Cover made from expensive automotive vinyl, (see picture we have this type cover installed on the lexus armrest) you will RECOVER your LID/ARMREST.

Thanks and good luck!
looks good but you shouldn't have left a crease in the edges of the foam or a fold in the foam as you notice in the last picture of it covered you can see these creases in the foam through the leather? it also appears you added foam on top of the OEM foam? thats to much man, plus i think that foam u used is a little to thick. i have re-wrapped mine twice since the shop cut mine to install the remote and its honestly pretty simple to do but nice write up....good for alot of people to see cause im sure alot of people need to do this....

Thanks for the comments guys! I now understand that maybe it isn't real leather and maybe I did use a tad too much foam. But I wanted that plush feel and that's exactly what I got. I'm going to redo it just because it fairly easy to do. Once I even the foam out and re-stretch the cover, it should look great. One thing everyone has to keep in mind is that although it may not be everyones cup of tea to go the route I went, it is a finacially sound solution for cancer ridden armrest and with the sub $40 price tag, I can't really complain. Again, I'm a noob and i'm trying to learn how to take care of my car with whatever limited knowledge I have. I was just trying to contribute to the community, that's all.

That's vinyl not leather. I bought the same one. It was cut too short to wrap around to be stapled and had the crease were the seller folded it. I sent a pic to the seller and he said he could install it for me and that it was ok to be cut too short, I shipped it back and found a real leather one on Ebay for a few bucks more. If anyone else does one, you can leave the factory leather on. I just bought some 1/4" staples (I already had a T50 staple gun) and went over the factory cover. The real leather ones on ebay will not have the crease in them when you get them.

Nice job, I think it looks good compare to before. Little crease is nothing compare to that ugly hole before.
