Sweet, there may be hope yet for me. The only problem is that I took a good look and snapped some pics, but the lip wrapped around the face and damaged 2 of the spokes. Not sure how bad it is, until I get the tire dismounted and pull back the lip a bit. Can they fix a wheel with a machined face like my AME's? To be honest, I'm not overly concerned about the face, as long as it's just cosmetic. If I can get a wheel shop to rebarrel it, I would be happy at that. I searched Simple Wheel Werks and they seem to have great reviews, so I just called them and left a voice mail. We'll see if this is something they can do.

Expensive yes but small comparatively. Good luck with the claims.
True, he could've cleaned out the entire side of the car, then I'd be stuck looking for an LS. Is that a bad thing?

I am glad that your car didnt get messed up body wise but i must say for your rims to take an impact of a 2000lb car and still hold up only speaks of the quality of those rims. But from the looks of it the body didnt get any damage.

As long as the faces are still decent, those can be relipped no problem. Its crazy how many ppl on here know about relipping / rebarelling wheels. Guess the fitment scene is crazier than it was 2-3 years ago

Thanks for all the replies guys. Simple wheel Werks called me back, so once I get the tire off and have the lip bent back, I can send them some pics. As long as the face is ok and not tweaked, I may be a happy camper. We'll see

man that sucks dude, at least the cosmetic damage is minor and you weren't in the vehicle,
you have no reason to feel bad that the guy got arrested, he did something stupid and irresponsible, knew the risks and now has to suffer the consequence, also out of curiosity any pictures of his car? how badly messed up was it

I wish! Damn Australia and their rediculous high prices for everything

Sorry to see the wheels, hopefully it can be fixed without problems. The poke saved your car!
